OBD-IIb has a couple more sensors, and the ECU pinouts are different. You'll need some way to convert your ECU plugs to OBD-IIb in order to plug your harness into the OBD-IIb ECU. I thought the 99 LS was still OBD-IIa? See if your harness will plug into it. If it does, then you should be fine. If it doesn't, then the above applies.

Re: (inspyral)
thats the wierd part..my harness did plug into the ecu..unless my friend thought it was a 99 and its probably a 96-98 ecu..so if it pluged in then i have nothing to worry about!??!

Yes you can. You will need to get an OBD2a > OBD2b conversion harness, or purchase a 96-98 LS ECU.
The difference between the two is not much, just the connectors mainly.
They both have A, B, C, D connectors. Only on OBD2a, there is A, B, D connector, the C connector doesn't have any pins or anything. Where has OBD2b, has the same connectors, only it's A, B, C and the D connector is not used.

I believe the OBD-IIa years for Integras are 96-99, and the OBD-IIb years are 00+. If they all plugged in, then you should be good to go.

I need a OBDIIa -> OBDIIb conversion harness to run the 99-00 SI p2t ecu in my 97 Civic. Anyone know where I can find info on making my own or buying this harness? Thanks!
