k, just tested it driving and heres what the results are.
When accelerating or having the throttle pedal depressed it will jump up and then down and up and down.
If i accelerate and release the pedal and just let the rpms slowl drop with the car still in gear it gives me a negative voltage reading. When idling it will sit below .1V and not move.

hopefully we both figure em out, its quite annoying cause everytime i remote start my car people are like, "why does it smell like gas?" Another issue im having is sometimes after i do a long highway drive i will come off the highway and the idle will be at 600 instead of the normal 800 when its warm. If I turn the car off and turn it back on it will go back to 800 leading me to believe its an electrical related issue and not something wrong with the engine.
I am pretty sure i have a vac leak or a messed up FITV because when i start it up and its cold it will idle up to like 1500 and then drop almost to stalling but once its warm it doesnt do anything of the sort.

Re: (scarlemthug)
I know people have mentioned it earlier, but i guarantee you that there is something wrong with the o2 wiring. I've had a couple of swapped cars come to me with the same problems as you ( code1 and running rich) and they all had the same wiring problems. Either they were completely wired wrong or the o2 signal wire was not connected. You can try as many o2's as you want, it will not fix your problem. Right now your ecu is not reading the O2, which gives you code 1 and runs super rich to be on the safe side. If its been covered sorry, i'm just trying to point you in the right direction.

thats the problem im having with all of this, all of the wires are connected to the right locations. I know this because I tested the continuity of all of the wires from the pins on the harness plugs all the way to the plug at teh O2 sensor itself and all have continuity between the correct wires.
I also find it weird that at idle the O2 sensor doesnt emit the proper signal "pattern" but when i start driving it swings up and down like its suppose to. What would cause that?

quick question, could someone please explain what each of the wires on the O2 sensor are for? like the green wire emits the readings from the sensor and tells the ecu information but what do the other 3 do exactly?

so whats the difference between the "heater control" and the "12V power" exactly? The ground wire is pretty obvious but the other 2 im not sure what exactly they do to make the O2 sensor work porperly. Im just trying to figure out why the O2 would work properly when accelerating but stand still when your not.

All the wires are important, but the main one you have to worry about is the white one, which is the signal. That's the one that the computer reads to see if its running lean or rich. Why don't you take some pictures and show us how you have the O2 connected. That way maybe we can help you.

take pictures of what though? The o2 sensor is plugged into the o2 connector from the engine harness. All wires are soldered and heat shrinked properly.

If i was running really rich would it cause me to have poor fuel economy? I am getting about 550KM to a tank of gas which seems about right considering how i drive the car. Im still unsure why my idle is messed up though. Any ideas?
