Right now, I drive a 96 hatch with a B18c and wanted to know how hard it would be to swap the Type S engine into the EK while the B18C engine is out and being built for boost? Is there a mount kit out there yet? And how hard is the wiring? My brother is a manager at the local Honda/Acura yard so I can get the engine for pretty cheap. Thanks all.

 

Hasport has mounts for that type of swap i believe the wiring isnt to hard.
Do a search and you will get all the info you need.

 

thats a lot of freaking work.
custom axles, half shaft, throttle cable, etc.
Who knows how the intake manifold and exhaust manifold will clear?
Remember theyre reverse on our k-series engine.
The transmission situation must be a nightmare.
youll need custom exhaust as well.
and the new obd wiring..jeez..i cant even imagine trying to get all your power and everything to work with an older ek.
BUT, if you got the ***** to do it, it can be done of course. and mad props to you will be given if you do.

 

Our kit is not out yet. I will let you guys know when it is.

I had spoke with you last year about this time, I was working with Air Ride Technologies. I had the 02 EX and was dealing with Chuck down at Evans Honda Specialist. Doubt you remember me but whats the ETA on the k20a swap kit into the ek? I recently sold the 7th gen and I now have a 99 SI.
