noob with EK
hi, just thought i'd introduce myself and ask a few quick questions. i recently bought a '96 EK hatch. im new to hondas, ive worked for nissan for the last 2 years and have never owned anything but a nissan. the only reason i bought the car was because it was a cheap hatchback, and i love hatches. not to mention you can pull serious power out of a B16. after talking with a buddy i went to basic training with, he recommended doing a B16A swap into my hatch. what i want to know is what exactly is nescessary to complete the swap. i got the cash (thanks uncle sam) i just need to know exactly what parts i need before i start this project. after doing a little research ive come up with this:
- Complete Motor
- OBD2 ECU
- 5-Speed FWD Hydraulic Transmission
- Intermediate shaft
- Engine Mounts
- Drive Shafts
is this all i will need? like i said, im new to hondas, im not new to engine swaps, ive done an sr20 and vg30tt swap into my old cars. any extra information would be greatly appreciated. i plan on usin this car as a daily driver/weekend track car.

Re: noob with EK (Veritas)
hey welcome to honda tech, just read the rules, where to post and what not and with swaps there is a huge FAQ thread
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=642479
lots of helpful things, you can learn to almost live from it.
i think you nailed everything you need for the swap besides shift linkage and harness
