whats goin on. i have a problem with my rpm guage. well when im at idle the car is idling fine. its around 700 but i notice my tack starts to jump up to like 1500 then back down and stays at 1500. now the problem is that the car is still idling fine (at 700) because i do not hear the car rev up. but now my idle is at 1500 but seems to actually be at 700.

plus i have a b16 tranny so my rpms are high on the highway. im usually around 4k at 75mph. but today when i was at 75mph my tack read 3k but felt like it was still at 4k. so what could be the problem. could it be my cluster, speedsensor, or something else.

 

make sure the VSS plug is secure, it is on the top of the tranny

idk, check there first thats what mine did when I first did my swap and mine wasn't all the way clipped on, clipped it on and no problems since
