Radiator/cooling problems - B18C1 in 94 hatch
Setup = stock B18C1 in 94 Si hatch
Drove the car to work monday (~95 miles round trip). No problems, except a little hesitation at WOT.
Drove the car to work tuesday, again, no problems except hesitation at WOT.
Today (wednesday) on my way to work I'm on the freeway doing ~70mph (not accelerating hard or anything) and the temp starts creeping up. I notice it's creeping and immediately exit and crank the heater (it got up to just below 3/4). After cranking the heater the temp drops quickly back to normal.
I find a Napa store and go in and buy some things (waiting for the car to cool down). Get back out to the car and notice coolant has leaked from the bottom radiator hose. Weird thing is that some leaked out but isn't leaking anymore. I fill the radiator up to the full mark with water and run it for a while and it seems ok. Drive to work with the heater on and the temp stays at normal level for the rest of the 30 miles.
Seems to me that the radiator hose is too big for the radiator and maybe there is an intermittent leak caused by this discrepancy. This is the Autozone "dual core" radiator but the fittings are the size of the D16 radiator hose *not* the B18C hose.
Anyone have any problems with this? Suggestions?

i thought you could use your stock eg rad. and it would be fine... it might be your thermostat have you checked that? and also you should use the b16 hoses there are bigger than the civic hoses but smaller than the gsr hoses , and use the screw type of clamps,, (like the ones on your intake) then you can screw them down really tight ------ anybody else have any input... is the civic rad. alright for him to use?

Well, it has definitely leaked quite a bit of coolant. I had to put ~ a liter of water in this morning. I think I'm going to get a Del Sol dual core and hopefully that will fix it....

92 VX with 99 GSR swap - using the OEM radiator for the past 2 1/2 years with no problems at all - daily driven and raced occasionally. 160K+ on the radiator and it works fine.

My motor doesn't seem to like my stock fuel pump either.
Seems like there's a slow leak from the lower radiator hose connection so hopefully if I get a radiator with the correct size inlets it'll fix that.....
