Default radiator

I have heard most pple recommend a del sol vtec radiator with the swap.

I am just curious, do pple mean the USDM del sol radiator.. that would be the SOHC del sol, rite? so any del-sol radiator is fine? I suppose, I just dont wanna get the wrong parts.

thanks

This is correct... both parts. It's the same width, is thicker, and drops right in with no additional work necessary.

What you need is the the Del sol DOHC vtec. Its a dual core radiator so theoretically has twice the cooling capability as the stock ones.
The stock 5G civic automatic and manual only have a single core radiator. You will have to trust me on this because I have them.

The delsol makes 160HP so its logical that it MIGHT be enough to cool a 170HP GSR or a 200HP ITR.
The stock radiator will work but MIGHT overheat if you try to sustain WOT for long period of time.

so it's the radiator from JDM Del Sol that I should be using.

since the USDM del sol is SOHC and 125hp.

how much will a JDM del sol radiator cost?

#1) You need to study up on your Del Sol trivia...
#2) As was said earlier in this thread... DOHC VTEC Del Sol. - it doesn't matter which frickin' market it's from... it was sold in both.
#3) If you're not going to read for an answer, or at least verify whether what someone says is correct, then don't bother asking.
#4) yes, I am...

No. While you can use one from a JDM Honda Civic CR-X SiR, it is the same as a USDM Civic Del Sol VTEC. From reading your posts, it seems as if you don't know that there is such thing as a B16A-equipped Del Sol. Well, there is. It was offered from 94-97. So just get a USDM dual core Honda Civic Del Sol VTEC radiator. That is the official name of the model. You are confusing the Honda Civic Del Sol Si which is pretty much a Honda Civic Si/EX with the D16Z6 SOHC.
