DOHC del sol radiatior help...
so there's a b18C in my car right now but it's radiator hoses do not fit on my radiator off my SOHC 94 del sol S. the inlets are too tiny for the hoses off the b18C to slip on. there's alot of play/space between the hoses. what to do? i want a new radiator by the way. DOHC del sol ?

Re: DOHC del sol radiatior help... (the soL that could)
i have a 95 del sol with a b18c1 and im using a stock duel core del sol vtec radiator and it works fine. just get the del sol Vtec model radiator its a duel core. since your wanting a new radiator though you might want to get an aluminum one thay are only like 150 bucks more then a stock one. and bolt up just like stock without modifacations and will keep your engine much cooler. heres a link to a really good site. http://www.absoluteradiator.co...od=12 i recomend either Koyo or Fluidyne. Good Luck

no i think it probly is OEM. you said you have a del sol S radiator witch i think is a single core and also has smaller hose fitings. if you go to that link i gave you for the del sol Vtec model radiators it says. "NOTE: This radiator has the proper 1 1/4" (32mm) hose fittings for the VTEC engine. " thats the del sol Vtec model radiator that has 32mm fittings. so my guess is the del sol S model radiator has hose fitting smaller then 32mm and would explain your hoses not fitting. like i said my hoses fit with the Vtec model radiator that has 32mm fittings. so thats your best bet get the Vtec model radiator .

I had to go to Honda and get a radiator for a 99-00 civic si. It has the bigger inlets and does great with my b16 swap. Tried getting one from autozone but after 3 attempts to get the correct one form them, I gave up and went to Honda. Cost me aobut $220.

works but a bad choice, the radiator from the 99-00 si has the right inlet and outlet size but is only a single core radiator. Del sol Vtec model (b16a3) has dual cores for better cooling efficiency. Get that

99/00 si is a dual core. I have one.
In my old hatch I put the stock d series hoses on the single core radiator and cut them off at the inlet and outlet of the radiator. Then I slipped the b series hoses over them and clamped them down. No leakes for over 2 years.

I put a B16 del slow radiator in my 92 si hatch and the hoses fit. I had to really work to get them on but they do fit. So...if your hoses are bigger, should be perfect

95 del sol vtecs have single core. it actually takes me a while to warm it up cuz the fan is wired directly. cools real good.

99-00 civic si radiator is a single core, but it cools my engine just fine. If it wasnt sufficient enough to cool the engine they wouldnt have put it in there from the factory. For a stock engine it will be just fine, if your planning on a built motor, or turbo down the line it would be a good idea to go ahead and upgrade to a better radiator. ( in my opinion)
