prelude injectors specs and howto!?
ok im pretty sure you guys have seen this chart around
Injector Specifications
VEHICLE Injector Types Flow Rate
1988-91 Civic si/crx si Peak and hold 240cc
1992-95 Civic si/ex Saturated 240cc
1996-00 Civic Saturated 240cc
1990-91 Integra Peak and hold 240cc
1992-00 Integra ls/gsr/type R Saturated 240cc
1992-96 Prelude non-vtec Peak and hold 240cc
1992-96 Prelude VTEC Peak and hold 345cc
1997-up Prelude VTEC Saturated 280cc
1991-up Sentra se-r/200sx se-r Saturated 265cc
1991-up MR2 Turbo Peak and hold 440cc
1988-91 Supra Turbo Peak and hold 550cc
1993-up Supra non -Turbo Saturated 315cc
1993-up Supra Twin Turbo Peak and hold 550cc
2000-up Celica GT-S Saturated 310cc
1990-up Miata 1.6 liter Saturated 215cc
1993-up Miata 1.8 liter Saturated 240cc
1993-up RX-7 Twin Turbo Saturated 550cc/850cc
1990-96 300zx Twin Turbo Saturated 370cc
1991-up 3000GT VR-4 Peak and hold 350cc
1989-up Eclipse Turbo Peak and hold 450cc
notice the 97+ prelude injectors, 280cc; interestingly "injector list came from allmotorhonda.com which is a cut & paste from a 2001 Sport Compact Car Article. The 97+ Prelude flow rating on that list is wrong as austin pointed out here already from his RC Engineering balanced & blueprinted Lude injector flow spec sheet back in Oct. He's notified the website author of the error...he obviously has not corrected it yet."
pic of the injector test
as you can see the are not 280cc but 290cc, at 43 psi. also notice at the B.S.F.C (Brake Specific Fuel Consumption) chart on the bottom, as you can see most horse power is achieved at .50, 80% duty cycle (accepted industry standard); this means that the engine will use .50 lbs. of fuel per hour for each horsepower it produces; this is true in most NA motors. meaning that 97+ prelude injectors are able to support up to at least 176.9 horses.
Here's the questions, since 3 gen integra's are all saturated it's best to use 97+ injectors instead of the 92-96 since they are sarutrated also, but these injectors are obd2. how are you suppose to run these injectors in the 94-95 integras? i believe they plung right up to 96+ integras but not sure how they'll work in 94-95 (obd1) integras. im pretty sure you can modify the clips or something to run them but haven't come across a clear answer yet. so if any of you guys can direct me to where i can find out it'll be much appreciated.

If you want to use the 97+ Prelude injectors on the car all you need is to change the injector clips to OBDII clips since 94-95 Integras are saturated also.
If you want to use 92-96 Prelude injectors on the car, all you need wire in a resistor box onto the car.
either route you're gonna need to modify the engine harness unless you're lucky you might find a resistor box with the correct plug, which i doubt you will.
I learned the hard way. When i did the swap on my car (92 Civic) I converted the clips to OBDII. A month later one injector went out on me. So I decided to go 92-96 Prelude Injectors. So I had to convert my injector clips back to ODBI and wired in a resistor box.
Its been nearly 2 years since I converted to 92-96 Prelude injectors and havent regreted it one bit.
Here's a link on how-to for the resistor box:

Its not the only way to do it, but it gives you an idea.

ya but all injectors flow rate is different, a civic is supposed to be 240cc but they flow at 230cc, the chart is just a guideline
