pr3 ecu...code 41... how to fix?
i have a 94 civic vx with a 97 b18c-r jdm. i was running a p30 with no problems. now i connected a pr3 and i am getting a code 41 which i think is something woth the o2 sensor. anybody know how to fix it? thanks
Code 41 is the heater circuit for the O2. Has the car been converted to a 4 wire O2 sensor previously? I would say it has considering you say that the P30 didn't throw that code. I would clear the code and try the P30 ECU again. Are you sure that you are using a PR3 ECU? If so, is there a reason why you are using an OBD0 PR3 ECU? How did you plug it in, a OBD1 to OBD0 jumper hanress?
ACTUALLY THATS ONE OF THE THINS I AM CONFUSED ABOUT... THE PLUGS ARE FOR AN OBD 1 ECU. THE ECU SAYS PR3 ON IT. IS THERE SUCH THING AS A OBD1 PR3?
Sounds to me like it's an OBD1 circuit board in a PR3 case but who knows. I've never seen a PR3 OBD1, don't think they exist. Take the top cover off and see if it has the PR3 in the barcode on the top of the ECU plugins.
I heard or read that that was the ecu for a usdm b16a3 del sol.
Just a suggestion though. Hey anybody know why I cant use this tranny from a Prelude Sh in my 94 eg cx

proof of OBD1 PR3 existy-yonce!
(found on JDM 92-93 XSi/RSi DA integra's)

The ecu look exactly like a US OBD1 LS/PR4 ecu on the outside but has a TEC motherboard+programming on the inside.

That's interesting to know. I figured they used the P61 ECU like the USDM 92-93 GSR but I guess not. Thanks for the info.

yeah..
they never had B17's (P61 part number code) in Japan, but the OBD1 pr3 is pretty much a B17 ecu rebadged PR3.

This is a little OT.
Katman, I purchased a car, '89 CRX, with a turbo B18c1 in it.
Anyway, the ECU has a JDMPARTS.com sticker on it. The ECU sticker reads -PR3-000, and it has a distributor than looks just like any 1989 CRX distributor (OBD0 ?).
Is this a OBD0 PR3 ECU?

I suspect it to be a OBD0 ecu....
but I normally don't apply a JHP decal on ecu's I reprogram, I do put a sticker near the PR3 part number sticker though.

I have a P13 and I'm throwing a code 41. Could it be because the wires were spliced, soldered, and then taped, and they could be exposed or touching? Could there be another reason?
