I need some info on this motor.
First off... (idiot info description mode is turning on)
Second... i have a 00 Si and the intake manifold and TB is obviously different because of the years and such. Bt there is many things on this manifold and TB im lost about.

On the Manifold, underneath the TB there is a bypass unit (kinda looks like a IAC valve).... Also the TB has something that looks like a flying suacer... lol.. seems to me like a idle contrl unit or some kind.

Now my major confusion starts here. I want to change the manifold and also "86" the TB... What can be done?

I was thinking either the ITR manifold would work, or the Skunk manifold. To save some money i can use my00 Si manifold as well but i dont know if i can use that.

the main concern is how can this be done and has anyone ever changed this?

What do i do about the things that are existant on the JDM B16a1 IM & TB that are not used on the newer generation IM & TB?

I am planning on building the motor for a turbo set up. ad using the PR3 EC that was given to me wheni purchased this motor.

it had just occured to be after ding some research the unit under the TB is the "FAST IDLE CONTROL VALVE"???????
Now hte main concern is how can i use a diff. Intake manifold if it doesnt have a place for the fast idle control valve.

Also the mystery still exist with the idle control unit on top of the TB
