Default p28 simple questions

sorry for the newb-like questions, but i'm starting to dip into ecu's and tuning...

my setup consists of a jdm d15b sohc vtec, z6 tranny, i/h/e... i should be running either a p08, or a p28, correct? how would i be able to tell the differences in p28's? they run dohc vtecs and sohc vtecs... how would i know if the one i purchase is for a sohc vtec? thanks all..

But they can also be chipped with many programs and run DOHC VTEC motors, very common. So I think he's wondering how to tell the difference between a stock P28 and a chipped one. Unfortunately this is not easy without having an unmodded one to compare it to unless you know what/what not to look for inside.

B18C as in GSR or B18C as in ITR? Yes it will run both motors but it will not have the function to control the IAB on a stock GSR intake manifold. If you plan on using that ECU with a GSR setup, make sure to use a single runner intake manifold like the Junk2, er um Skunk2.
