Do you know if P28 ecu (stock) check for KS, VTS or something else an integra 98 nonvtec don't have. I don't have vts on my jdm b16a head and I don't have plug ks. I presently control the vtec with vafc and use my p75 in my lsvtec, is run great but you know why I want p28.

I ask this because I build my own obdII-obdI harness and I don't already received my chip for the p28 (skunk2) so I had try my p28, but the check engine light was ON.

It's probably because the ecu check for some missing sensor but I am not sure of this, I will try to read the code when I will finish my weekend shif, but before I will appreciate if you can help me to understand that.

Crank angle sensor on that bottom end ?

 

is the motor JDM b16a OBDII (96+) if so the code most likly due to lack of oil pressure switch on the vtec housing

its a green two wire sensor, it is not found on 96+ JDM motors, your other alternative is to go with a USDM specs or OBDI JDM vtec housing

 

The head is an b16a head first generation so I don't have vtec pressure swith.

Do you think power chip like skunk2, JUN.. check for sensor I don't already have ?
