P0441 After JDM B18B Swap - EVAP
I have had this code since August when I did the swap. For the life of me I cannot figure it out. I have emissions next month so I need the code gone.
Of course JDM engines don't have an evap solenoid, but since I have a USDM ECU it requires one. So I wired one up by going from the evap canister to the evap purge solenid, then to an port next to the map sensor on the manifold.
I get code P0441. I have replaced the solenoid, switch the lines around, etc, and teh code keeps coming back. Any suggestions?
Also, the solenoid is not bolted in to anything currently, it's just kind of resting on another hose somewhere behind the manifold near the canister. I would assume it wouldn't matter if it's bolted on to something or not, however I HEARD that if the solenoid is upside down it won't work? Figuring it could be bouncing around when I hit bumps.. but can anyone confirm that?
Any help would be appreciated!

well it suppose to bolt to your firewall or IM, but JDM IM dont even have holes for that crap. I would try mounting it in the right position and try giving it 12v and listen for a click

Yep the spot on the IM is completely... welded shut lol:
Don't mind me holding the blue plug, that's a dead one from the automatic before I did the swap. The circled part in red is where the evap line is going into on the manifold (well, TB, I guess) right next to the map sensor. You can see above that the spot where it is suppose to go... but can't. lol
I've heard something about a diaphragm valve? Does anyone know about this?
