Overheating b20 now going b20vtec
Hello h-t Im having this dilemna and am in need of a second opinion. Little backstory, I swapped in a b20 in my ef last year and ran great up until a couple weeks ago I started having overheating problems. Now when I swapped in the b20 I pretty much replaced everything except the headgasket ( logic said why would I open up a engine from a reputable importer) I did all OEM water pump,hoses,thermostat,skunk2 radiator etc. Now a year later it started to overheat I quickly saw that the cooling system was over pressurized and noticed i was having exhaust gases in the coolant. So i impulsed and bought a oem headgasket and slapped it on the next weekend. Well after the first start up with the new headgasket I was bleeding the cooling system until It started again, the bubbling coolant and the overheat returned.i am assuming the head has a crack. So i said **** it and purchased a gsr head and am now going b20v, now I am having the head rebuilt and resurfaced and new oem headgasket again. Long story short my question is there a possibility that the block could be messed up (other than deck surface I already measured it and is around .0015 ). I don't want to put my b20v together and have there still be a damn overheat. Any input is appreciated
