could be a blown headgasket

is it overheating at any certain times, driving conditions? etc

it runs that way constantly? it might be the incorrect thermostat if its constantly at a high temperature but doesnt over heat

No leaks,no smoke,it ran fine till one day a week ago it started to overheat and I slightly reved it and the arrow came back down, till now it started overheating to the point I will not go down.I don't drive hard I barely push the car,I have never let it overheat to the red line I've always just shut it off

well i would double check on your radiator unless its new, also probably double check your thermostat to see if it opens and closes properly, also make sure your radiator is working properly, i had the same problem you're having on my old ls motor, i replaced the thermostat and it stopped, it would only over heat when the car was on and i was parked and that was because my fan wasnt turning on

Check your radiator cap, check under your oil cap just to make sure its not a headgasket.

huh, I drive hard on my car, it cools down to the center of the gauge, but when i continue to drive it normally, it begins to run hot, not over heat, but runs hot...I am guessing a incorrect head gasket? I have a P8R head, with a LS block, and I am using a LS headgasket. Hmmmm...It did line up with the block, but not the head. the head gasket holes were smaller than on the head. I now wonder if the head gasket was too small thus not allowing enough coolant flow causing the sensor to read hot??????...
