Default over-heating

my ls-vtec motor has been experiencing over-heating... and i'm not sure why because coolant mixture is alright, and the oil amount is good. i can't drive more than ten minutes without the temperature gauge needle shooting all the way pass the redline HOT and the coolant in the overflow tank boiling. what's the problem?? need to know asap!

Coolant mixture wouldn't make a difference, but it should be 50/50 coolant/water. The amount of oil is totally irrelavent to your car's temp. It's probably your thermostat not opening. You may also have a clog in your coolant lines. Worst case, you could have snapped your water pump, but unlikely for a honda. Just do a radiator/coolant flush and replace your thermastat. Do a search of "overheating," and your questions will be answered.

there's also smoke coming out of the exhaust now, could it be a cracked cylinder wall or something to do with the block? man it's getting worse and worse...
