OBD2B - OBD2A Problems, please help !! Weird conversion harness problem.

Default OBD2B - OBD2A Problems, please help !! Weird conversion harness problem.

Ok folks it goes like this ...

I have been experiencing weird problems with my JDM OBD2A P73 with a boomslang OBD2B > OBD2A conversion harness, so, I decided to follow back all the wires on the harness and see what was what.

I found, what I think, are a couple of probs, maybe you lot can help me out with this one.

From the OBD2B side I found the following wrong with these plugs

PLUG A:
---------

The MIL (18) goes back to the ICM(13) on plug b of the harness. Whats that all about then ?

The NEP (engine speed pulse ?) (19) goes to the radiator fan

Plug B
-------

The ICM (13) goes to the MIL(18) On plug a of the same harness. Eh ?

Plug C
-------

More of a query this one. The ALTC (Alternator control) (2) goes to the EGR lift sensor control. And also the SG ground goes to 2 places on the other loom.

My symptoms are a very high idle point (goes away with my chipped p28) and unable to get any sense out of the MIL (I get a code 2 ... not valid for a JDM P73)

I need help big time folks. If anyone has one of these harnesses can they please have a look for me ? I'd be eternally greatful, I need to sort this out pronto !
