Im in the market for a B18a or B18b doesn't matter ill change **** later. Anyway i was wondering is there any difference between a Automatic Long block and a Manual one? I heard the cams are different on the auto block, but i heard the difference isn't that big and i won't even be able to tell.

Can anyone please clear this up for me?

since on the topic about differences, does any one know how to tell a 92-93 b18a from a 91 b18a?
i dont have the distributor or alternator on my car so that wont help.

 

intake manifold. there should be more visible vacuum lines on top of the manifold for 91 b18a than 92-93

also, look for the year stamped on the head

 

where should i look on the head? and what numbers should i look for?

 

How is the TB different on the automatic? I want to know cause I'm going to use it on my h22 swap since my h22 TPS is broken.
