Default OBD questions

I have a 2000 hatchback. I want to swap my motor out for a b16 or a b18C. I want to make my car obd1 because I am going turbo. (I hear obd1 will have less problems). I am having trouble finding a 99-01 swap,my car is obd2B. I was planning on getting a 99-01 motor and doing the obd1 conversion.Or is it better to buy a 92-95 swap since its obd1? If so can i use my current harness. please help.
and if u know where i can get a usdmb16 or gsr swap please let me know.

just get a like a 93-95 harness from a gsr thats obd1 and an ecu from a gsr same years thats obd1 and change the destributer(i think) and theirs maybe a sensor or two and thats all or you can get a 96-00 b16 or gsr wire harness thats obd2 and get the conversion harness to obd1 and it will switch the wires around then get a obd1 ecu. and that should be it. to see the harness for cheep go here or skunk 2 makes the same thing only its alot more money im also sure if you do a search on this theirs plenty of threds on switching over.http://jkobdconversionharness.com/mp...bout%20Us.html

I put an OBD-I B18C complete swap into a 2000 Civic Dx.

Just got a 92-95 JDM GSR w/ ecu and engine side harness (used for clips only) and a OBD-IIb - OBD-I conversion harness. Super easy, but definately not CA Smog legal. Got our swap from http://www.hmotorsonline.com and harness from Brian at Prospeed (714-292-9977).

Since you have an EK which uses a 1 piece engine harness, you will need to reuse your stock harness and add the necessary wires or get a 99-00 Si or EX harness for better plug and play. It doesn't matter which OBD motor or electronics you are planning to use, the main thing to remember is you must use a 99-00 Civic OBD2B engine harness.
There are many different methods that people use when doing an OBD1 conversion. Some people will say to get all OBD1 parts (distributor, injectors, etc.) but this isn't necessary at all. You can run a complete OBD2 or 2B motor and simply get an OBD2B to OBD1 ECU jumper harness and use an OBD1 ECU.

omg dude its a joke, haha funny. its like "tq is for burnouts and hp is for racing". dave coleman sport compact car magazine. that not completely true. obviously we would not be driving semi's.... basic principles of honda is they lack tq when other cars, shucjh as mustangs, or comaros have an equal amount, if not an exceading tq number compared to hp, but we still manage to find ways of beating them. semi's have huge turbos, a lot of weight. and deasul motors they have way more tq then hp. but they go nowher, they are slow. basic principles of an owner of a domestic is more tq the faster your off the line. with a semi thats not exactly true because of the weight disadvantage. because we beleave in power to weight ratio tq realy isnt something be bitch about, like domestic owners. dude i should not have to explain it to you. just think about it.
