NOS quesiton??
If done correctly, N2O will not hurt your motor any more than a turbo or SC. I have used it on my Accord for over a year now and have gone through over 100 bottles with NO problems.

NOS is nothing more than a power adder.
ITS NOT A FUEL, please don't get it confused.
What happens in a nut shell when you squeeze....
N02 enters the engine, the heat breaks down the molecules and the oxygen is released from the nitrogen, the nitrogen cools the metals, and the oxygen gets burned.
Remember, more 02 + more fuel = MORE HP
So, if your NOS setup is done correctly, it will last a LONG time. I squeezed a 120 shot on my "STOCK" LS motor for over a year with NO problems. Fastest time I ran was a 13.x
I know, should have been faster, but my coupe is heavy, really heavy.
Happy squeeezing.............

There are a few different nitrous kits, for example there is a dry system, a single fogger wet system (usually used on super charged or turbo charged cars) and there is the best system direct port which is another version of a wet kit, kind of. Basically nitrous is 2 parts nitrogen and 1 part oxygen it is a chemical bond that when heated up breaks. So when injected in to a motor the heat from the combusion breaks the bond and creates pure cold dense oxygen with nitrogen, which is used as a buffer for the combustion. This is what will create mad horse power. This is the basics of nitrous, hope this helps.
First of all......NOS is a brand name goddammit dont refure to Nitrous Oxide as NOS they probably dont like being placed next to the word ZEX
Quick lesson in Marketing 101. Usually the first company to the market and establishes themselves as #1 in that market will likely earn the luxury of brand/name recognition. For example, when you want a copy, most people ask for a Xerox. When you need to blow your nose, what comes to mind? A kleenex.
If they are being placed to the word ZEX they probably are doing something wrong internally. That is their fault. I am sure they rather would be placed next to the name ZEX then not being thought of at all. Think about it.

NOS = Nitrous Oxide System.
Just so happens that NOS is a brand name, but you are using NITROUS OXIDE.
If you want to call it by it's real name, then say NO2.

Thanks for all the info guys.....but i heard that the by-product of the nitrogen will harm the motor...is this true? I heard that a motor that's on N2O will need to be rebuilt every year.....is this fact or fiction??
Fiction. The Accord motor that was in my car was broke down after being run very heavily on N2O for a year. When i say heavily, I mean 75+ bottles. No problems what so ever.
NOS= Nitrous Oxide System's
Yes this is obviously true but when you refer to N20 as NOS you are implying that every kit out there is a Nitrous Oxide System's kit. Now as much as NOS would like that, we all know it is not true. NX, Nitrous Work's, ZEX, Venom, and JG,Edelbrock definately dont want people refurring to there kit's as NOS so let's not.

Nitrogen will not harm your motor it will act as a buffer during the combustion and will help with the burn. If you use N2O properly and reasonable you will not have a problem, just don't buy a kit and jet it for 150 hp squeeze on a stock single cam motor. My thing is I run as least as possible of a squeeze, if I need more power I will get it from some where else. Example I had a zc in a 90 si hatch and squeezed a 40 horse power shot, the car would fly but after a while I got bored and wanted more I thought about uping the N2O but decided to be safe and I bought a header, a good cat back system and a nice intake with a big bore jg throttle body. With all this I cracked a 13.8 on street tires at Palmdale which is 2600 feet elevation. So get a Nos kit and just run a reasonable amount of N2O thru it, you'll be fine.
