Default Nitrous on H22's?

I'm not a newbie to engine swaps...etc......but this dumbass kid has a b16 in a hatch with a 75 shot, I have only raced him twice (I got a bone stock H22).....and I want to make him eat ****, cuz he wont race all motor (he's a *****)

Now my problem is that I was thinking about getting juiced.......so I could show this little bastard whats up, but I dont really know that much about nitrous.....all I ever wanted to do was build my car to be an all motor *** kicker.......but for the sake of helping out the uniformed......what is the best way to go about using nitrous.....and not killing a mostly stock h22?

I have heard a lot of talk....but I would like to get some good info from experienced people.....

Thanks,
Mark

75 shot wont hurt anything. 2.2 is a big block. your not going to spray all the time anyways. i ran 75 shot for a year without any problems. used the zex kit

H22 motors can handle a lot of NOS. I've squeezed 75 and 100 shot (100 shot 4 times at the track) both with a wet setup (single nozzle into the intake pipe) on a stock JDM H22A motor (with Spoon P13 ECU)

Now for my recommendations.... I wouldn't squeeze anymore than a 75 shot when doing dry/wet setup just because all of the NOS wants to go into the #1 cylinder. But a 75 shot on a H22 motor, you can do that all day long w/out any problems. For a 100 shot, do it the right way and go direct port. I know 3 guys who ran 100-120 shots direct port on their H22 motors for a year now (one guy is on his 3rd year) and none of the motors have blown. If I had a direct port setup, I would've done a 150 shot (but that's because I'm crazy) but just to point out that the H22 motors can take a lot of juice when tuned/setup correctly.

Boost is another story on its own.......

First of all....thanks for the replies

But for example......lets just say I got a 75 shot Zex kit. Can/would a shop tune my car with the VAFC to make sure that it doesnt run lean and kill my motor (while spraying)??

It seems to me that everytime I see a blown engine...its because there car ran lean, and melted the pistons...etc.....So is a VAFC gonna be alright for what I would be using it for (to make sure my car doenst run lean)?

And finally....which setup is really better....The "wet" or "dry"?

Thanks,
Mark

There is no need to use a vafc.
If your kit (no matter which one it is) is set up properly, it will have a way of providing the extra fuel.

If you want to run a little richer, just to be safe, go purchase a fpr and richen up your mixture a bit. Make sure you retard your timing and learn to read your spark plugs.

Both wet and dry are good.
If you plan to stay small (50-70 shot) go with the dry kit,
but if you are going to run a bigger shot(80-up) or plan to up it in the future, just get a direct port kit.
