Smoother idle was noticeble. I can't speak much for throttle response since i have no ac, powersteering, and a JUN ultralight flywheel so if there were throttle improvements, i won't be able to tell. over all the engine feels smoother and so far these two days after it was installed the gas milage seems a little better.

T1R battery is xactly 14.8lbs it definetly is a good weight reduction method while getting to own a dry cell battery.

kind of hard to route it cleaner when you are trying to avoid hot metal and still route to the battery ground.

Kamin,

It won't give you any added HP. Don't buy into that crap. It simply won't. Perhaps .5 hp?

The real benefit that I can personally attest to are:

-Improved gas milage
-Smoother idling
-Car starts smoothly and quickly.
-slightly more smoother linear acceleration.
-slight more throttle response.

Earthing=Grounding

it's basically just replacing/rerouting all your grounds. There are different methods; some chain all the grounds together, some redirect all your grounds to the neg. batt terminal (bad idea), some just replace the factory ground wires w/ bigger gauge wire.

It's a good cheap mod that's fairly easy to do. I like those...

Bluesaint: why didn't you replace the ground on the valve cover?

Did you buy a kit, or make your own?
Looks good to me

Well, the dyno charts I have seen DO show hp improvements. Not much horsepower is made, but it is improved slightly, aswell as the other benefits that you listed above.

They're good for "race cars" or cars that don't draw much current. When you have a stereo system in the car, it'll draw more current from the battery, sometimes giving you a dead battery when you go to start up the car next time (get a capacitor if do that) but that's what happenned to 2 of my friends' cars with the same battery and a "small" stereo setup.

Dyno charts that I saw shows .5whp to 3whp, but that doesn't really tell you its the earthing system. Doing dyno runs back to back you can get + or - 3whp with nothing else changed. Again, for the sake of not getting into a argument on the power it makes, the $ or effort you spend on this thing is for smoother engine performance over all, not power.

I think its a good buy for only $100. You should make sure to run them in a daisy chain to get good results. Also, if you have access to a dyno, try different grounding points like by the starter. Remember guys, it snot about peak horsepower, its how much useable horsepower you have.

$100? Which earthing kit are you talking about?

I got mine for $50 USD.

Heres a funny question...I get the living crap shocked out of me all the time whenever I get out of a car, walking across the floor whatever.

My friends and family think its kinda weird. I actually used to have to replace my watch every year or so becuase of it.

Yeah I am a freak I reckon Does anyone know if I installed this on my car if perhaps that would help?
