Need some ECU help on my swap!
I'm getting really close to finishing up my JDM H22A swap in my '93 del Sol. It's all OBD1, of course, but I guess my main concern is whether or not I should use the JDM p13 ecu that came with the motor of keep the P28 that I have. My major concerns are whether or not my gauges will work properly. I'm afraid that one computer or the other will give me inaccurate speedo & tach readouts, and my idiot lights for the roof and the doors and trunk in the little pod in the dash will not work. Can ANYONE shed some light on this?

Re: (v4lu3s)
That being the case, I'll probably lean towards the P13. But I notice that a lot of people use P28's on here. Is that because you guys are using USDM H22A's and you don't want to have EGR? What advantage does the P28 give over the P13?

Re: (v4lu3s)
so then my only other question would be:
since my P13 is JDM, and I have no EGR, will the computer be looking for it? Since it is not there, will it not run correctly? If this is the case, should I just stick with the P28? I will need the car to pass emissions tests as well...
One more thing, Is there a difference with the rev limiter between the two?

it will run fine but throw a code 12 all teh time with the engine light always on. there will be non oticeably driveability issues though.
as far as the stock p28....thats a great ecu to pass emissions with the engine it was desgined for. chances are runing super lean will cause you to fail emissions and potentially hurt the engine as well.
as far as rev limtier its 7500ish on the h22, and i think 7200 on the p28, though both can be reprogrammed.
