Need help w/ls swap into 98 civic!!!!
My brother has a 98 civic ex. And we are trying to swap in a 94-95 ls motor. We have everything to do the swap, just that the factory 98 engine wire harness was traded it to get the motor. What can we do to use the ls engine harness? Or should I try to find the harness for the 98 ex or dx (since there is no vtec). What is the right way to do this? The distributor we have has for one plug, but the 94 ls harness has two plugs. Is this OBD1 or OBD2?NEED HELP PLEASE !!!

get an ex harness and it should all be plug and play except the IACV valve (which u can splice the ls one into ur Ex harness) and there may be a few other things needed to be extended. what ecu do u have for the swap?

This only applies if your trying to stay OBDII (you'll never pass smog if you don't)
You can use a distributor from a OBDII integra (Ebay $50)
You'll also need a CKF sensor but this sensor will not fit on the oil pump of a 94-95 integra, you need a newer oil pump from an OBDII motor. I used an integra TypeR pump it pumps more oil and bolts right up. You may also want to get a new timing belt cover from a 98 or newer integra old one wont fit right without cutting off a small chunk of plastic. (sensor $100 cover $40)
You need an OBDII LS ECU
Your gong to also have to swap some plugs from an older harrness.
If you have power steering and want to keep it you'll have to find a new pump. This is where im stuck Power steering pumps on the integras have a smaller pressure line outlet then the civic's do. I think you might try an 99-00 si pump.
I think thats about it hope this helps
(I just did this same swap)

Not yet. One other thing watch out for the halfshaft make sure the axels will work with the half shaft on the engine. I had to wait a week to get a new one (it comes in to day). After i finish the install I will take pictures. Good luck
