94 B18B1 into a 98 Civic EX......harness question..help????
Like, the post says, my friend has a 98 Civic EX and wants to drop in a 94 LS motor in it. Problem is, he does not have the 98 EX wiring harness, but he has the 94 Integra LS harness...Our question is, what do we have to do to the 94 LS harness in order to drop it inot his car? We were told we could use the LS harness but it would be a bit more complicated to do the swap.....He already has on OBDII to OBDI conversion jumper harness.....what else can we do to wire it up?
Please help as we want to get his car on the road asap!!!
If you can, please post pics of the procedure!!! Thanx

You CANNOT use an Integra harness of any kind in a 96-00 Civic!!! Whoever told you that is an idiot.
You will keep your stock harness and simply add some length to branches as-needed to reach sensors and stuff. You will also need to do one of the following...swap the OBD1 injector plugs from the LS harness onto your EX harness - OR - swap your EX injectors onto the LS intake manifold. Either one is fine.
You also need to do either of the following: acquire an OBD2 LS distributor - OR - cut the distributor plug off both harnesses and splice the LS ones onto the same-color wires. You could also do the opposite to the distributor, putting the EX single distributor plug onto the LS distributor. Second/third methods are definitely cheaper!
