alright so i swapped an f20b into my ej8 and got the engine in my car with some minor fab work, i ordered a custom harness and ecu from rywire. now i talked to ryan from rywire and he said he was going to use an obd1 ecu and map the fuel to the same as the f20b, except with the obd1 it wouldnt look for a map, knock, or egr sensors, so it would be a lot easier for him to wire. but it would all work without any problems. i plugged everything in and got the car to start. as soon as it started the headers turned bronze immediately, and they were smoking. we pulled the plugs and thought maybe they needed to be replaced. so we did a tune up.. plugs, cap, rotor.. etc. started it back up and it sounded like it was misfiring, the car wont rev past 2k. infact it just stays at 2k rpms, and when you give it gas it sounds like a rev limiter and just bounces at 2100rpms. we cant figure it out, it was suggested that the ecu might be the cause of the problem or it was the timing. anyways we did timing on it and everything was perfect, so we hit the key and the same results happend, now were stuck i'm calling rywire today and see what they can do for me. but if anyone has suggestions it would be helpful. thanks in advance and plz help!
