My friend has a 97 dx hatch and we are looking to throw a jdm 94-95 b18c into it. I want to know if I can just plug the 94 engine harness into the 97 car harness, run the vtec, ks, and iab wires to the ecu and be done with it. I know it can work the other way around by plugging a 96+ engine harness into a 92-95 civic I am just curious if it will work the other way around.

no your gonna have to convert to obdI i think.

what i had to do was use my obd2 harness from the car the enige is going into and then you might have to switch some plugs. but the big thing is making an obd2 to obd1 harness converter so u can use the obd1 ecu.

As for the wiring, just use the Civic engine harness, swap the plugs listed on the site and get an OBDII to OBDI ecu converter harness to run the OBDI ecu. That will get you running.
