everything i said it true, but from some new developments about my wiring harness that a friend told me it MAY actually work in the condition its in. all the **** i went through still stands but it may be a working harness.
i wont know for a while, so you can keep that short book i wrote about STM but just know the wiring MAY work so they could have done something right.

oh and FYI if you do get a 97-98 there is no way to keep it emissions legal with ANY swap. there are no OBDII skyline or sr20 motors.

hahha yeah.. damn.. can I ask how much the rb+extras needed to make it run cost you? I don't see why people get s14 motors for ~2600 bucks when the rb ranges between 3000 and 3500 right? can you shed some light as to why this is so much "better" for little increase in price? I just want an rb cause it's 2.5 and I can claim to have a skyline motor haha

or is it just because the gt-s engine doesnt have the "market" in the us like the sR?

well depending on what route you go you are looking at

RB clip + driveshaft (200) + downpipe (50-100) + wiring (400) + misc swap **** (100)

if you get mckinney mounts and their own driveshaft thats another 1100$, buy you know its top quality.

so you can spend anywhere from 3500-5000 easily. all depends on what you want to do

and the RB isnt very popular for 3 main reasons

1) still MANY misconceptions about how hard it is to do

2) parts availability

3) rarity of clips. some people have waited weeks and months for a good clip to appear.

1. not for me! ha!
2. yeah I see that but who needs to "mod" it right away when you have a skyline motor! I, too, am a broke child looking for a job..
3. I'm willing to wait as I always make plans according to failure [delays, etc] so I guess there's nothign wrong with me wanting an rb.. hope you get your stuff done..a nd yeah I'd estimate the 5000 and not a 3500 cause I don't wanna take any risk as my knowledge isn't very "full" so I'd just get mckinny instead of trying to go other routes.. hehe.
