Default Moving wires at ECU..how do you do it?

Hi,

Just finishing up my B20 swap and I was wondering: how do you move the wires at the ecu plugs on the wiring harness?

I have to move the wire at A14 to A12 for the IACV ground (don't remember off the top of my head)...but how can you take that wire out and put it in the other slot cleanly and without breaking it?

Thanks

I don't know if you would call this 'ghetto', but when I move a wire from one place to the other, it's one pain in the *** to get out the whole pin. I cut the wire and solder it to the other wire.

Use heat wrapping and put the black wire cover back on.

HTH.

its pretty hard to describe and even harder to do but I used a paper clip and it took me forever, once you figure it out it's a breeze.

That works well when there is another wire to connect to, but I think his question is, how do you pull a pin from the connector to a spot that has no pin in it at all.

sorry to bring this back up but...what about if you want to add a new wire to the male ecu plug in a 6th gen? where can you get the little rubber/metal pieces on the end of the wire? or can they be reused?

that's the cleanest and probably the right way of doing that in the first place.

Well we haven't done it yet because we ran into bigger problems with the transmission...
