MOTOR QUESTION
I need to find a new motor, dont know what yet, my D16Z6 is burning oil like a mother f***er. The valve seals are shot. Oh ya, my tranny isnt the greatest either. It is almost 2000 to get the head redone in town. My civic is going to mostly be show. Any one know what i should do?

I agree. If you didnt already have a vtec head then I would have told you to stay non vtec.

If those are the prices your quoted then you better keep looking cause thats ridiculous, your overpaying buy abt $700 on both engines

Not everyone is looking for FI so I don't know why that and swaps are the only suggestions people give....

Re: MOTOR QUESTION (EJellyfish)
b16 all the way you might as we'll have something fun to drive and that will last a long time. even if its a show car, ur gonna get sick of it being soo god damn slow, b16 at least gives you a start with some power and would be easy to achieve power in the near future!

valve seals aren't too hard to replace...
how is your tranny "shot"?
