hard to say.... depends if you want to do alot of work / spend alot of money. economy vtec was not designed for power, but for vtec to get the car to move and then get you really good gas mileage by shutting off vtec. if you want real performance you will have to swap the motor.

motor is too small for any potential...just do a gsr or b16 swap!

VTEC-E E=Economy not for performance. Sorry, but that engine is only if you want to save money on gas. Which is a good thing.

Re: motor ques (93WhiteHatch)
I would defintely swap the engine to a D16. It's hard to find for the ole' D series but I have it for these reasons:
1) They're cheap and easy to find. This lets you blow them up, find replacement parts, keep spare engines, trannys, etc on hand to build and/or otherwise swap in at your whim. I used to have 2 spare D's on hand (one under build, one as a "spare"). I got one for $100 off someone swapping to a B and another for $225 out of a yard.
2) You can get parts really easily since people don't want them. And it's a Honda, so you can find pretty much anything for it.
Go with a D16 man. It's an easy swap, easy to find, and easy on the wallet.
