Default SOHC mini me Questions

Ok. Ive got a 1.5 non vtec motor and I want to put the 1.6 vtec sohc head on the block of the 1.5 for the mini me. I was wondering what the pros of this are. Ive heard higher compression, anything else? also, Would it be better to completely swap motors? ( i got this engine for free and it works) ive got no money for a b16 vtec which is what I really want but for now im going to do this vtec thing. any and all answers or suggestions will be appreciated, thanks.

I am saving up. but I already have the free motor so I want to do this mini me. Eventually I will have a B16. But Im going to build it not just have a stock one and put in. and I want vtec so until Im able to get a b16 and modify it i want this 1.6 mini me conversion so I can experience vtec ( my other car is a 4 door civic, auto transmission and a 1.5 in it) so I want something a little better.
