Default Motor Clicks but wont turn over

Hello all
I just came back from Trying to start my new Hybrid Civic which is a 92 civic si with a 94 ls motor with GSR Tranny, and it wont start but all it does is click when I go to start it,I think the click is coming from the Starter, When it clicks and I go again to try to start again, I have to move the battery connectors, I know it is not the battery that is messed up cause I just took it out my miata and it gives me no problem.
Also the motor was seating in my boys shop for like 1 year and 1/2 inside not outside.
I need help
Both Tranny and Front Grounds are Hooked up, Need help asap.

The battery is good, huh. Maybe it's a poor ground/missing ground strap.

I check the grounds, The one that is on the left when looking at the motor from the front and I check the ground that goes from the motor to the Radiator support unless there is another Ground somewhere else??? U let me know.

Is your starter grounded? If so... make sure the little starter wire that "plugs in" is in all the way... I had a problem like that with mine.... and I forgot the tranny ground. oops! Just go back over and make SURE you have every wire going somewhere.

I had the same issue and it is a ground not getting good enough contacts, either the strap that runs from the battery to the body then to the tranny or like the previous post says, that little wire from the wiring harness to the starter is lose or not connected correctly. Also check the fuses under the hood.

Try hitting the starter solenoid wit a hammer while trying to start it. If it starts, replace da starter. Sometimes the solenoid gets stuck. hitting wit a hammer frees it up.

does the car keep clicking over and over when you have the key turned trying to start it, or do you only get one click and that is it?

if you only get one click, the starter is no good (or possibly not grounded right).

if you get repeated clicks, then the starter is good, but not getting enough power from the battery to start. you will either need a new battery (which you said was good, so it's not that) or you will need to replace the wire that goes to the starter - maybe start by cleaning off the posts to the battery and the cable connector, then try it again.

hope that helps. good luck.

I had the same problem, the starter got stuck I just rolled the car down a hill and poped the clutch after that it freed up the starter.

check and see what type of starter it has some of them have a nippondenso starter that has replaceable contacts and some have a mitsuba starter that dosen't. if it the nd type just replace the starter contacts if its the mitsuba then replace the starter.
