I'm interested in doing a mini-me conversion on a d15b8 from a 5 gen civic hb.
Considering the d15b8 has 8 valves and the head will have 16 are there going to be problems with the pistons hitting the valves?

 

you would need to look at the pistons - or maybe someone will know - if the pistons are anything like the ones i have seen, there shouldn't be a problem. the easier thing to do would be to get ahold of some dx pistons to put in your engine. they are the same bore size and are set up for the 16 valve head. those pistons have the highest compression out of the three models (at least i know the dx has higher compression than the si). and don't get too excited, the compression is like .1 higher in the dx, but it is higher non the less.
