in the middle of b swap w crx hf
Does any body know what sensor is right next to the oil pressure sensor on a crx hf. It has two prongs sticking out the back of the engine above the oil filter? Im assuming i dont have to hook it up since there isnt one on the b18c? any help would be greatly appreciated. im using a pr3 and staying obd0

That is the coolant temp sensor which is that style on the OBD0 motors. It is located as a regular 2 prong plug on the thermostat housing on the B18C motor. You will need to extend the wires on the engine harness to the thermostat and wire up a 2 prong plug.

Yes, just cut the old plug off your stock harness and extend the wires to the thermostat. You can also unwrap the flex loom to expose enough slack for the wires to reach as well. Then just splice a 2 prong plug on matching up the wires.

is this the sensor that gives you your engine temperature reading or the sensor that tells the fan when to turn on?
