Default Car only starts with MAP unplugged?!?!??!HELP!!!!!

I try to start my swap which i just converted to obd1 from 0 and took off the fire wall mounted map and using a tb mounted one now, and my car will not start if i have it plugged in. If its not plugged in it starts fine, idles fine, throttle response is fine, and i can plug it in and still runs, but throw a code 3. So i checked my voltage and its 10.4 volts, isnt it supposed to be only 5?? someone help asap tryin to drive this thing.

checked my wires over and over and over and over.................and over again. My jumper harness i bought seemed to be wired wrong, so i cut it, ran some wires direct to the ecu plugs to the MAP sensor, its good now, well i ahvent drove it, but let it sit for about 5 minutes running and no CEL. well see how it goes.

If you are getting 10volts to the sensor two things happened. Your Map is now blown and your wiring is bad. It only should get 5v

The map sensor uses 3 things. Power Supply 5 volts, Ground & Signal.
Use the wiring diagrams on http://www.phearable.net/tech to determine if everything is wired properly.

If you are still having issues, check the map sensor's output voltage at atmospheric pressure to determine if it is bad etc...
