is LSVTEC worth the troble?
Ha, got you all beat......just bought my 90-93 integra ls for 50 bucks........later all, i gotta go laugh meniacally and swap some parts onto my 'Rex....hahahahaha!!
Reliable yes, if you build it, it is worth it, if you are paying someone to do it, might as well just get a b18c. After 2 years and 23k miles, did a compression test last night, had 195 across the board on all 4 cylinders. Fogot to mentin that is on a y1 trans so there are plenty of high rpm trips in there.
Well, just to give you a number. I put my car on the dyno today just to get some number. With no tuning whatsoever, my car put down 168 whp and 119 lbs of torque...It's still running rich and I'll put it back on the dyno when i get v-afc...We compare it to a type R that the shop dyno earlier and he had a header, cai, exhaust putting down 167 with 120 lbs of torque. The biggest difference is that from 0-6000 rpm I had 20 lbs of torque more than the type R. After 6000 rpm the torque curve were pretty much identical. That's without tuning....Basically i have a ls block with ctr pistons and a b17a head.
