Default lsvtec over b18c1

I currently have a gsr with burned piston rings. I also have a b18a block sitting in my garage? Should i do an lsvtec or just fix the piston rings on my gsr and sell the ls block? Is the lsvtec worth it ove the gsr? if so, how much power and torque does it have more than the gsr?? TIA

Sell the LS block and buy a B20, then toss ur GSR head on with some pistons and rods and you'll be set. CRVTEC will make some awesome power, just do it right.

Well, each ls/vtec engine produce different amount of power and torque depending on what you put together...Mine with a b16a head and ls block with ctr pistons put down 168 whp and 119 lbs of torque untune! Still waiting on my vtec controller to tune it...That's a pretty average number...Your gs-r will average a little bit more poewer and torque! Good luck with watever you decide.

The torque number is pretty low.....We are thinking the reason it's low is because the car is running so rich...Because on the dyno, as soon as we hit 6000 rpm and the car start running rich the torque curve immediately begin to dip...I was expecting at least 125 lbs of torque actually. you have any explanation?? the air/ fuel goes for 12.8 down to 11.1 right after 6000 rpm..
And one more thing..Most people with high torque number all run jdm 4-1 header and i'm running a matrix 4-2-1 header..you think it has anything to do with it????
