Ls/vtec vs. b16a
What's the difference in torque? (Ls wins, right?) Difference in HP? Ls/vtec is heavier...right? Is that going to effect my ride a whole lot on a crx? Any info at all will be a bit of a help.

Re: Ls/vtec vs. b16a (rockout)
you want the 1.8! 2.0 if you can for the best pulling sensations. the ls/vtec will not be any heavier than a fellow b-series. no it won't affect your ride that much, though it will differ from your 1.5. if you do build the hybrid motor, make sure to put some high compression pistons because, if not, you will basically waste your time and won't make jack for power. if you are going to force induce, then of course, put in low compression pistons.

Re: Ls/vtec vs. b16a (rockout)
The deck height on the b18 motors is taller (longer rods as well) than the b16-so, yes, it will be heavier(nothing worth measuring though).
If you get a larger rear sway bar, it will compensate for the added weight in front. I have a ITR rear bar on my '94 civic that has(had-selling it) an ls/vtec in it, and set it up for road course but still streetable. It handles awesome. There aren't many Porsches that can keep up w/ me.
