did you get an ls/vtec conversion kit? Golden eagle makes a nice one and it highly recommended for doing ls/vtec setups. i mainly have upgraded gsr parts like gsr oil pump, gsr water pump.

you have to use the vtec distributor whether its b16, itr, or gsr. and you need the im and tb, preferably itr or better.

what obd is your car/engine your putting into it.

vtec engines run most efficiently with vtec transmissions when running NA

the b-series t.b. is interchangeable among ls,b16,gsr, and R, I'm using a 94 ls tb on my ls/vtec set up with a b16 I.M. I would stick to using a 94+ tb because they have a bigger bore than previous models. You do not need a bigger aftermarket tb or IM unless your going FI. If you can get a good deal on a type R IM and TB it will give you the best OEM performance.

You can make your own oil supply line running from the back of the block to the head using a T running off of the oil sending unit but like the other guy said the GE kit will work a hell of a lot better and it puts filtered oil into your head. It also includes the head gasket you need to use. I would also recommend getting arp head studs, this will help prevent blowing head gaskets at the high rpm's. Upgrading the oil and water pumps are a must. Some of the earlier ls oil pumps will not support the oil supply that is needed to run vtec. Don't forget that if you go with a GSR water pump you will need a GSR timing belt.

You can use your ls dizzy by cutting off one of the legs but I recommend getting a vtec dizzy. Some people say that they have problems with ls dizzys at idle and tend to burn out quickly when installed on vtec engines. ObdI and obd II dizzys are interchangeable by re pinning the plugs, this is a very easy and quick conversion.

you need a vtec ecu or a chipped ecu to run vtec. Or maybe even the ls ecu and vafc. Getting hondata or uberdata and tunning will get you the most out of the ls/vtec.

When I did my ls/vtec install I had to re-route a few vaccume hoses and coolant hoses going from my engine to the IM. This proved to be quite simple. The process included removing and plugging an un-needed vaccume port on the IM and removing a cooland line fitting from the ls IM and drilling and installing the fitting on the b16 IM. I also had to drill out a spot to install a sensor on the b16 IM. This will vary depending on your set up. I have 91 b18a block, 99 Si IM and head, and a 93 delsol SI wiring harness.
