LS/VTEC help. please help
im starting my planning on a ls/vtec. should i use the GSR block girdle consisting of # main caps in middle, bolts, windage, oil pan and oil pickup. also i know thw vtec oil pump is good but what about the water pump. im lookin for ideas so let me know whats the proper way to do this for a reliable engine.

Get the Golden eagle LS/Vtec kit with dowl pins and head gasket. Get your compression figured out that you want and upgrade the rods with ARP rod bolts.

i know this has been covered but i dont see anything about using the gsr block girdle. i read the scc article about the ls/vtec and it mentioned it but is it necessary.

no it's not...it does the same thing as the b18a block girdle. I wouldn't worry about that much if at all.
