Default LS Block Help

I did a search and couldnt find the right answer to this.
I know the main problem for a LS/VTEC build is the rods are weak to handle high-reving so replacing them with stronger rods (Eagle Rods) will help this, but is that the only problem?
Also what other things should I change inorder for this engine to be reliable and be able to handle high reving?

Ls rods are fine, its the rod bolts and rod bearings that are weak. Upgrade to arp rodbolts, and b16a rodbearings, and a vtec oil pump and you will be fine.

I got VTEC water pump, VTEC oil pump, and VTEC Timing belt. So replacing stock rodbolts with ARp bolts will make it run more reliable and be able to handle high revving. Is there anything else?

very important that u have a vtec oil pump... many people forget to use on... my friends ls/vtec has the ugliest bearing due to lack of oil under high rpm's.... and the crank heated up so much it turned blue.... now thats hot!!!!!
