Default LS/VTEC complete

MY LS/VTEC IS COMPLETE!!!!! ok, i know i have already posted this in the integra forum, but i am so proud of myself, b/c i have never done anything this involved before. after an all nighter on monday night it's finally done, i started with a bare block at lunchtime on monday, and i was driving the car at lunchtime on tuesday. i absolutely love it, it has sooooooooooo much power, and the vtec isn't even hooked up yet, i can't wait for that JDM B16 VTEC to engage, it is gonna be so tight.............. the VTEC doesn't work yet b/c the ECU i had for the swap didn't communicate well with the engine, so i'm using the LS ECU, but that engine is so strong, i was running with my boy in his boosted B16 HB last night!!!!
check out tha pics https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=201530

BTW does anyone have any suggestions for an ECU????

Congratulations ! Impressive, LSVT as first project !

You assembled the block yourself... IE, pistons/rods etc ? What ecu were you running when the car was running like crap ?

yes, i assembled the block myself...... i was using a chipped p28, supposed to have been chipped for a B16, but we think it just wasn't in anyway tuned for the right fuel for the larger engine

You ARE breaking in the motor correctly right ?? You said the first post that you already ran the car ?

yeah, i've been very careful with it...... i have got on it a little, but not really, i have been shifting at like 3500 rpms and letting it warm up etc etc when i say "ran" the car, i meant that i was driving down the road next to one of my friends and i got on it just to see how well it would accelerate.... man that throttle is really really touchy with that ITR TB

what's the big deal with "breaking it in" anyway, it's not like the engines we have in our circle track cars get broken in before they get the **** ran out of them

The break in procedure in vital to the proper seating of the rings and getting the seals/gaskets to seal properly for the life of the motor. It puts the piston rings, rod and main bearings into their respective grooves.

Once a vehicle is properly broken in, you will notice improved performance and gas milage. Gotta break it in properly ! I just finished breaking in my LSVT 1600 miles ago ! It began running smoother after the first 200, 300 and 600 miles with an apparent performance increase at the 200 mile mark.

j/k about the dumbass break in question..... i know all about it, i am being carefule with it, and yes, i've noticed the gas milage thing, i keep popping the hood making sure there are only 4 cylinders, that thing is like a damn crustang, but yeah, i can't wait for it to break in..... it should be nice and broken in just about the time my friend gets his ITR swap into his HB, so then we'll see if all that dough he dropped for that ITR swap was really worth it or not, seeing as how i only spent a few hundred more for the car, parts, and machining labor that what he paid for the engine himself

Ditto, dont put any stress on the motor. That means no "getting on until 3500 rpms", but its your motor man.
