LS/Vtec Breather Box help
So i bought a 92 eg an a Ls/vtec. Its a b16 head. I had to strip the whole thing down cause it blew every gasket on the motor (cam seals, oil pan gasket, valve cover gasket, etc.) And it also blew the head gasket. It still has the breather box but like everything thing else on the motor it was half-a**ed. The PCV valve and tubing is just gone, and the other line that goes in the block is pinched. I was wondering if this would cause the crankcase to build up to much pressure thus blowing all the seals. Im not wanting to drive it just to have everything thing blow again cause it was not exactly fun tearing the motor down. Ive heard alot about putting on oil catch cans, but that seems like alot of work to go through if i dont have to. So what im wondering is there anyway i can just hook up the breather box back up to everything without a pvc valve (considering that all the ones you get at autozone blow both ways anyway) or should i rip it all off and put on an oil catch can? Please help, all opinions welcome.

Re: LS/Vtec Breather Box help
I would install a catch can. They help the motor relieve the case pressure and return the oil back to its proper place. Adapting the block is the hardest part to add a catch can. If you can screw in a fitting (M28 x 1.5 to AN-10 adapter) then you can install a catch can. My opinion its better and easier than dealing with the lousy stock box. For only $99 its probably cheaper too.
