Default LS Vtec

What kind of rev can a stock bottom end of a b18b take? Im planning on swapping a b16a3 head on and dont want to push the relability of too soon. I have read a lot about clearance issues as well and was wonder if a thicker head gasket would solve this problem?
Thanx Kevin

The LS bottom end can go up to the factory b16a redline(8100-8200),but dont go higher without arp rod bolts. There are no clearance problems, even with big cams.
