Default ls tranny w/lsvtec???

im bout to do a ls/vtec fully milled gsr head port and polished!! and was wondering if the ls tranny will be good enuff till i get the money for the gsr tranny?????

yes its good enough but such long gears for na applications. If you are fi ls will be perfect for you..

I swap my ls tranny for y80(Gsr 94). My engine are bone stock(B18B1). The difference on the 1/4 mile are not what I expect I think short ratio for B18B1 not make a big difference. But its a must for ls/vtec because you always stay in vtec at each gear !! That my 2 cents

hmmm...i wouldn't reccomend an LS tranny...probably the best for you is a b16a Y1 LSD tranny. It's a perfect short geared tranny with LSD to bring out the torque from your motor
hmm...and it wouldn't hurt to have a type R final drive!
