Default ls swap #1 and 4 cylinders not getting fuel

I recently took a job swapping a 91 ls motor into a 93 civic dx. I took out a ls/vtec that was blown, but whoever installed it, hacked it up pretty bad. They used the wrong mounts without all the bolts in and cut engine brackets to fit only using one bolt instead of 3, I mean it was bad, there were bare wires everywhere. I got it all together now, and have no check engine lights, but I'm not getting fuel into the 1 and 4 cylinders, I checked the injectors out and they're not getting fuel, any ideas??? thanks.

I pulled the plugs and no gas on the #1 and #4. the # 2 and #3 are soaked with fuel. So the #1 and #4 are getting no fuel at all. I actually still had the P72 from the ls/vtec, but I know have a P75 that I"m plugging in tomorrow. you thinking maybe the ecu is no good?

I changed the ecu, the one that was in there was chipped and throwing the wrong codes. IAT, and I changed it and it was throwing it again, so I changed the ecu and it only threw Crank Angle sensor, so I'm changing the distributor. I used an obd0 distributor and the harness is obd1 I color matched the wires, but the distributor was bought used. I started the motor with a little starting fluid in the filter and it started up and ran, but it was lean popping, so I think the crank angle isn't working since the code is running for that so that's why it's not getting enough fuel. I'll find out tomorrow when I put in a brand new distributor.

Hmm, is this some kinda DPFI -MPFI issue?

no, the car wasn't mpfi. I'm just taking the ls motor out, I think the wiring harness they used was cut too badly and I think I must have missed a cut wire somewhere and that's the problem. I can get it started with starting fluid, but it's lean popping pretty bad. The fuel injectors aren't spraying right. I pulled them and looked at them spraying and the timing is way off for the spray. I'm putting in my gsr motor out of my coupe thursday because I know there is no problems with that.

The motor is going into a 93 DX hatch = MPFI

Make sure you don't have the injector clips on in the wrong order. Sounds to me like if the wiring is hacked up that bad, I would replace the engine harness before doing anything else. If you are putting the GSR in hoping that the problem goes away, I hope you are planning to use another engine harness and ECU.

Of course, I'd be using my gsr harness and my gsr ecu. I think the problem is the stock dx harness in the car now. I really don't know what they did to the harness and i should have changed it from the get go, but it was for a friend and I was doing a favor, so i tried to save him some cash. But I'm putting the gsr in with the gsr harness and ecu and if the problem still exists I know it's something with the car harness. and yes the injector clips are in the right order.
