LS to GSR in a crx
I currently have a 92 LS motor in my crx. I'm getting a 95 GSR motor tomorrow morning. What I need to know is, will this basically be just a straight swap?(will I be able to use the 92 LS axles, dist.,throttle cable, brackets) Oh yea, and Im running a B16(J1) tranny on the LS and plan on using it with the GSR.

The GSR motor will use the same mounts, brackets and axles that the LS has now. You will need to use the timing belt side engine bracket from the LS on the GSR for the mount to line up correctly. The J1 tranny and your current clutch/flywheel will bolt up. Which distributor do you have now and which ECU do you plan to use with the motor?

Re: LS to GSR in a crx (VTECVillain)
keep the same tb cable, no need to change it! you'll need a pr3, or pw0(obd0 ecu) since you got the engine in a crx, but you'll need to change the intake manifold to a skunk2 unit since these computers don't operate the butterfly in the intake manifold! just get a pr3, and a skunk2 manifold and you'll be up and running!

Straight mechanical as they said above and you don't need a gsr throttle cable either. You will need to do something about the ecu though, and run a couple wires . Also decide what ecu you want to use, I'm using a chipped p28 with my swap and I it. Talk to that man above me(eg6ajk) I got mine from him.
