Default Lowering Compression?????

Does Lowering Compression ratio reduce horsepower??? Just want to know?

Yes it does lowe HP and Torque
Lower comp = less cyl presure = less HP and torque.

The benefits are.....
Lower com = less cyl presure = less prone to knocking.. therefore u can use cheaper fuel with less octane.

... and run greater boost levels or nitrous into the motor without the above knocking/detonation occuring.. This is due to the cooler combustion temperatures from the lowered compression..
